LESSONS FROM THE MADE-UP WORLD!

One of the most treasured memories of my childhood and teenage years is reading comic books. Even thinking of comics, makes me nostalgic, allowing me to revive my early days profoundly. I remember looking up to fictional characters and their escapades. I remember how these characters empowered me to weave dreams.
Be it, Mandrake; The Magician, Phantom; The crime fighter, or Tintin; The adventurer or even the hilarious Lotpot series, various fictional characters have made me laugh, made me curious, and have transported me to realms beyond my imagination.
With dramatic plotlines, strong narratives, epic dialogues, powerful characters and vivid illustrations, those comic books not only captured my attention but also captured my imagination. They introduced me to things that I didn’t know existed. Mandrake and his incredible tricks, for instance, introduced me to the wonders of magic. Phantom introduced me to Africa and its mysterious ways.
Although these are made up stories, they inspired me to be brave and to embark on the quest for new endeavours. Most importantly, to envision a set of dreams and turn them into a reality.
“Because like these fictional worlds, even dreams are made-up stories, that must be chased and converted into a reality.”
Years later, today as I see these characters coming alive via film adaptations, I wonder, whether we can actually seek inspiration from any source? Can we seek inspiration from the heroic tales and expeditions of comic characters?
Of course, yes!
I once read a LinkedIn post, where an individual explained how a character from Star Trek inspired him to transcend his shortcomings. Comics for that matter have a unique place.
All heroic characters, be it Tintin, Superman or anyone from an endless list, has a story that can serve as your unique inspiration. From courageously pursuing your dreams, standing up for what is right, exhibiting exemplary virtue, defending the world while battling individual conflicts to being accountable for your actions, comics can impart invaluable life lessons. It can motivate you to make a difference by never giving up.
Dear Friends, I would like to emphasize on the importance of finding your unique source of inspiration, from not just the real world, or real stories, but from anything motivational in nature.
Delve deep into the world of fiction, and seek inspiration from extraordinary characters who triumphed over their shortcomings.
I invite you to be brave and to set on the path of accomplishing your dreams with zeal. Turn them into a reality!
